Papertrey Ink is celebrating its 10 year anniversary this year, so the theme of this year's Stamp A Faire follows the traditional wedding anniversary traditions for each year. Up first is paper!
Rebecca Luminarias challenged us to make a handmade paper embellishment. I was intrigued with her paper tassels and managed to find a package of small tassel caps at my local craft store, so decided to give those a try. They were surprisingly easy and a lot of fun to make! I used mine to decorate a gable box that I received as gift packaging from a store. A Limitless Layers: Square die cut topped with a few stamped die cuts from Still Life: Summer helped me cover up the store's label on the side.

Stamp A Faire 2017: Take Ten Warm Up Challenge
Brace yourself because I have a lot of projects to share! Over the last four days I participated in the 2017 Papertrey Ink Stamp A Faire event. There were a total of 21 challenges and I completed all of them! It was a crafting marathon weekend!
On Friday, the event kicked off with a warm up challenge where we could pick one of ten inspiration photos/color schemes and use that to jump start creativity. I picked the first photo, which included several tropical images in an Aqua Mist, Vintage Jadeite, and Bright Buttercup color palette.
I'll be back shortly with more projects to share!

PTI August Create Along with Us: Potent Potions
I'm back to share a couple of cards I made for this month's "Create Along with Us" challenge at Papertrey Ink. This month's release focused on autumn and Halloween products, which thrilled me to no end since that's my favorite time of the year. I can't wait to get my hands on the new Wicked Elixirs set and dies. While I wait for my order to arrive next week, I drew inspiration from the "potent potions" theme and created my own version using the Love Potion stamp set and dies, along with some creepy images from the Tiny Treats: Halloween set.
My apologies for the terrible shadows on the photos. The sun is beating into my craft room right now. Great natural light, but the shadows are tricky for photo editing!

June 2017 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop
I'm back to share the card I made for this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop. Here's a link to the inspiration photo. I love that blue ombre vase with the peach flowers--so pretty! Here's my take on the card:
Since the "sponged ink on the back of vellum" technique worked so well on the card I posted yesterday, I thought I'd try it again on this card. I die cut the Mega Gracious Vases from vellum and sponged two shades of pink on the back of one vase and two shades of blue on the back of the other to mimic the gradient ombre look of the vases in the inspiration photo. I discovered that despite the multitude of floral stamp sets I have in my collection, very few of the flowers work well with the narrow openings of the vases in Mega Gracious Vases. I finally settled on one flower in the Life set that seemed to fit appropriately. I added a simple sentiment from the Choose Joy set to finish off the panel. Since I have enough paper to last several life times, I'm on a mission to make a dent in my patterned paperhoard stash so I cut a piece to mat behind my journal card die cut.

Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Stay Cool
I'm back! Can't believe the last time I posted was for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop! I've definitely been crafting, just haven't taken the time to post.
For this season's blog hop, I opted to create a cold brew card. The warm temps here in the Pacific Northwest definitely make me want iced coffee when I stop at Starbucks!
I rewarded myself after work last night and spent some time in the craft room putting together this card. The water color panel was my inspiration for the colors I chose and figured the best drink to pair with the cool tones was an iced matcha tea latte. I used the MFT cool cup die and cut the cup and lid out of vellum and sponged Papertrey Ink New Leaf ink onto the back of the vellum cup. Cool effect! I was especially proud of myself for using up some of the enamel dots and some patterned paper in my stash. I have enough of both to last a lifetime, so might as well use 'em and not hoard 'em!
I have yard work calling my name, so I'd best take care of that before it gets too hot today and then I can come back and check out all of the great projects posted for the hop!

Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop: Peeps Offering
Happy Spring! I'm back to share a card I made for the Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop. I took inspiration from Starbucks' pastel coffee cups for spring and die cut the My Favorite Things Coffee Cup from yellow and white card stock. I added a die cut circle to the cup, which I stamped with a peep image from Simon Says Stamp's My Kind of Peep stamp set and then covered in Glam Pink Stickles. The pink gingham paper is from Doodlebug, the die cut banner from Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from the Simon Says Stamp My Kind of Peep set.

March PTI Blog Hop
I'm back to share the card I made for this month's PTI blog hop. The inspiration photos were lovely, but man, I struggled with coming up with something! Even with my best buddy Kristie here for the weekend, we both were off to a slow start today! Finally the creative juices started flowing and I was able to come up with this:
This card uses the Bloomers stamp set and dies, Turning a New Leaf stamp set and Big Basics: Thanks die.
