I'm back to share the bird house I made for today's PTI Anniversary celebration challenge. I'm normally not one to tackle these 3D type of projects, but I had a good time with this one. I used a piece of bird patterned paper as my color inspiration and everything just sort of fell into place from there and I ended up with a bird house mail box! The bird image is from Impress Cards and Crafts, the branch and flower die cuts as well as the bird house template are from PTI.

PTI Anniversary Celebration Continued: Favorite Florals
I'm back with another card for the PTI 10th Anniversary celebration. This time the challenge was to create a card using a favorite floral set. I have spring on the brain now that I got skiing out of my system last week in Colorado. Spring to me means tulips, so I decided to pull out the Bitty Bouquets set. This card also uses the Fillable Frames Sentiments set, Chicken Scratch paper collection and Keep It Simple Frame die set.

PTI Anniversary Celebration: Multiples
I just got home from a week's vacation in Colorado. We go every year and spend a week skiing at Keystone resort. The first thing I did when I got home yesterday (after unpacking and doing laundry) was head into my craft room. I was experiencing withdrawals not having access to my toys for a week!
I got to work and created several cards, one being this one for the PTI 10th Anniversary celebration. The challenge was to use multiples of a shape on a card. I pulled out my Limitless Square dies and the Heart 2 Heart #1 stamp set and got to work to create this simple card.

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present & Future: 2016
Happy Monday! I'm back with the final card for the PTI anniversary challenge. Today we are paying a visit to 2016 and I chose to work with the Just Desserts stamp set. This was actually the first time I inked up my set! I paired it with a piece of Confetti patterned paper, another favorite for making birthday cards. I even pulled out some sequins and my gold Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some sparkle to the candle flames.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great week!

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present & Future: 2015
I'm back to share my card I made for the Papertrey Ink anniversary challenge. Today we are revisiting 2015 and I chose to use the Baker's Dozen stamp set. This is one of my favorite birthday stamp sets because it gives you a different cupcake for every month of the year, plus a bonus cupcake, a lovely frame and some great celebratory sentiments. I decided to get a head start on my sister's birthday card. Her birthday isn't until the end of May, but it's always good to plan ahead! She loves all things pink, cupcakes and butterflies. I incorporated all three into this card! This card also utilizes the Hooray patterned paper. I love this paper collection. It's my go-to paper for birthday cards and has patterns that work well for both masculine and feminine cards.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present & Future: 2014
I'm back to share my latest creation for the Papertrey Ink anniversary celebration. I chose Embellished Elegance as the stamp set to work with for this challenge. The giant happy stamp and die cut are one of my favorite elements from this set, and I knew I wanted to use it on my card. I've mentioned before in previous blog posts that I moved into a new house last fall. Putting together my new craft room has been both a joy and a pain point because I have so much stuff. SO MUCH! I've been stamping for 25 years of my life. That's a long time to accumulate craft supplies and I still don't have all of it moved over! So in setting up my craft space in the new house, this is now forcing me to confront how much stuff I have and to reassess what I really love and want to keep and what needs to go. Patterned paper. Love it, but I have way more than I can possibly ever use. Accepting my patterned paper problem, I've decided I have to start using it up, it's taking up way too much space in my craft room. So...back to my card. I pulled out some of the Green Tea Leaves patterned paper and actually used it on my card! It was only one sheet and I still have the rest of the pad, but I'll take this incremental success!
These colors are not at all my normal crafting style. I tend to prefer bold, bright colors and I've always shied away from pastels in pretty much everything. I don't tend to wear soft pastels, decorate with them or craft with them. Well, time to change that! At least in the crafting arena.

PTI Celebrating the Past, Present & Future: 2013
2013 was the year I finally had one of my cards accepted for publication. After trying for several years, I almost gave up but on a whim, sent in a card for one of the Paper Crafts Magazine's special issues. I remember receiving the email from Susan Opel, telling me that my card had been selected and I nearly fell off my chair and cried and laughed from amazement. When trying to decide what to do for the 2013 PTI anniversary challenge, I thought back to that year and my card that was selected and decided to use the same color scheme of the card that was published, Pure Poppy and Summer Sunrise. I wish I could link to the card that was in the magazine, but I can't seem to find a digital photo of it and my issue of the magazine is still packed away from my house move last fall.
This card uses the Ruby Rose stamp set and dies, which I'm embarrassed to admit have never been used prior to this! I also pulled out Mat Stack 1 for the frame image and die cut and the sentiment is from one of my favorite sets, We Go Together. The Pure Poppy patterned paper is die cut with one of the Tipped Tops dies.
